PURPOSE:To obtain prominent deodorizing effect by a method wherein an adsorption oxidizing catalyst layer, consisting of adsorbing agent and oxidizing catalyst decomposing adsorbed constituents, is provided on the surface of an enamel layer formed on the surface of a metallic body and, further, an deodorizing unit, provided with a heat generating body, is provided in a ventilating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing unit 1 is provided with a heat generating body 2, a metallic body 3, an enamel layer 4 and an adsorption oxidizing catalyst 5 while the heat generating body 2 is provided with an electric resistance body 6 such as a linear or coil type nickel-chrome wire, a tungsten wire and the like therein and is insulated electrically from ambient tubular bodies through an electrical insulating body 8. The adsorption oxidizing catalyst layer 5 is formed of adsorbing agent, having a function to adsorb and deodorize the constutuents of smell, and oxidizing catalyst, having a function to decompose the constituents of smell adsorbed by the adsorbing agent. The deodorizing unit 1 is interposed in a ventilating passage between a ventilating means and a heat exchanger to adsorb the constituents of smell of air-conditioned air and recover the adsorbing capacity of the adsorbing agent by heating it through the heat generating body 2. |
