<p>PURPOSE:To make the installation of a silent hose to a sound absorbing member easy, and to realize a light weight of the whole body of the hose, by composing a supporting member to support the inner circumferential surface of the sound absorbing member in a unitary part, in a silent hose used in the intake system and the like of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral surface of a sound absorbing member 2 is covered by a sound insulating tube 3, and the inner circumferential surface of the sound absorbing member is supported on a supporting member 5. The supporting member 5 is composed of a spiral member 5a to maintain the form of the sound absorbing member 2, and a net 5b to prevent the deformation of the sound absorbing member 2. The spiral member 5a and the net 5b are formed integrally in the injection moulding method by using a synthetic resin material. Terminal rings 6 are provided at both ends of the spiral member 5a, where locking pieces 7 to lock the sound absorbing member 2 are formed. In order to allow to bend the spiral member 5a in the hose installing time, the net 5b is formed by giving a deflection.</p> |
