<p>PURPOSE:To exhaust sheets quickly by providing sheet guides coupled with a staple drive-out part and a staple folding part, and arranging these sheet guides opposedly at a certain spacing so that a sheet path is formed. CONSTITUTION:A sheet processing device U is equipped with a stapler unit 26 having a staple drive-out part 26a to drive out a staple to a plurality of sheets S piled one over another and a staple folding part 26b to fold the given staple. The sheets S are fed to the position for stapling works, stapled together, and discharged by a sheet transport device from the position opposite the sheet fed side. Therein, the staple drive-out part 26a and folding part 26b are constructed separately and are coupled with an upper and a lower sheet guide which are provided between the sheet fed side and the sheet discharge side at a certain spacing so that a sheet path is formed. Also these parts 26a, 26b are made mobile perpendicularly to the sheet transporting direction so as to enable conducting a position control.</p> |
