PURPOSE:To provide a method by which the selectivity of a reduction reaction of NOx is enhanced. CONSTITUTION:In this method for catalytically reducing NOx contained in waste gas with a reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst, at least one kind of compd. selected from among oxygen-contg. org. compds. and hydrocarbons and at least one kind of compd. selected from among urea, isocyanuric acid and cyanuric acid are used as the reducing agent.
