<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a pedestrian who suffers from the secondary collision on a hood from falling on the road surface. CONSTITUTION:When a pedestrian collision detecting sensor 13 detects the collision with a pedestrian, the movement of the pedestrian on a hood is regulated and prevents him(her) from falling from the hood 14 because air bags 15, 16 for preventing fall which can be developed in a continuous wall shape are provided on the peripheral part of the hood 14, etc., of a vehicle body. Fall can also be prevented by forming a continuous wall part on the peripheral part of the hood air bag which is inflated and developed on the hood. The air bag device can consist of the air bag to be developed on the hood first, and the air bag for preventing fall which is developed on the peripheral part later, and a fall preventing part can be formed by folding the peripheral part of the developed hood air bag upward.</p> |
