<p>PURPOSE:To improve the sureness for starting and the safety by making the common use of an initiating explosive device as a starting means of a piston to open a rupture disk of a gas cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device is provided with a foldable air bag, a gas cylinder 2 to inflate the air bag, and a means to open a rupture disk 3 of the gas cylinder, and a gas cylinder rupture disk opening means is worked by the initiating explosive energy of an initiating explosive device 4 to be worked by the electric signal from a shock sensor. This constitution provides excellent instantaneous gas generating ability, and improves the safety and the reliability.</p> |
