PURPOSE:To provide a rice cooker which eliminates changes in flavor, color and taste of cooked rice during the period of preservation. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 11 is connected to a gas purifying element 9 comprising a porous activated charcoal and gas and liquid inside a rice pot 1 are adsorbed the gas-purifying element 9. The gas-purifying element 9 is energized to heat by electric energy from the capacitor 11 to remove the gas and liquid adsorbed outside the pot by desorption.
