LOW-ODOR, SOUNDPROOF, HEAT-INSULATING MOLDED ARTICLE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To provide a molded object reduced in the latent possibility of the generation of a noxious substance or an unpleasant odor and having heat insulating and soundproof action and a production method thereof. CONSTITUTION: In a method for producing a porous molded object having soundproof and/or heat insulating action for lining a car part especially emitting noise or heat, a natural fiber nonwoven fabric and a binder are charged in the cavity part of a heatable press mold and the press mold is closed in an airtight and pressuretight state and a hot liquid is sent into the cavity part in which the nonwoven fabric is charged along with the binder to be held to a high pressure state of 2-10 bar in the press mold for the total stagnation time of the nonwoven fabric and the binder. Subsequently, the liquid is discharged out of the press mold before a formed molded object is taken out of the opened press mold to be sent to a filter device. By this method, the porous molded object having soundproof and/or heat insulating action is obtained.
