摘要 PURPOSE:To grind a workpiece with a proper grinding path by measuring a tool form before and after the wear, automatically finding out a wear compensation value quickly and accurately, and performing a wear compensation accurately even in any grinding attitude, in the case where a turning central point(TCP) is set in an optional position, in the case of this grinding tool wear compensator. CONSTITUTION:This compensator is provided with an image forming means forming each contous light image of two grinding tools 3 and 4, a contact position detecting means 15 calculating a contact position between the grinding tool corresponding to a specified grinding attitude on the basis of those of image data to be outputted by the image forming means, and an abrasion loss operational means 16 finding out an abrasion loss corresponding to the contact position. In addition, it is also provided with a coordinate transformation operational means 17 converting the abrasion loss to be given by the abrasion loss operational means 16 into a quantity pertaining to a turning central point TCP of the grinding tool, and a wear compensation operational means 18 seeking the wear compensation value to the specified grinding attitude on the basis of a quantity pertaining to the turning central point to be securable by this coordinate transformation operational means 17, respectively.
