PURPOSE:To provide a cap locking structure for a fuel tank wherein the fuel tank can be prepared by blow molding while providing a single member only required for a basic constitution of a cap. CONSTITUTION:An external thread part 5 of screwing a cap 4 is formed in a peripheral side of a supply port 3 of a fuel tank 2, to also provide a groove 6 engageable with a lock member 23 of a key lock mechanism 10 in the vicinity of the supply port 3 in the inside of the fuel tank 2, and when the cap 4 is rotated, a tapered part 26 of the lock member 23 gradually approaches the groove 6 of the fuel tank 2, to soon engage the lock member, so that the cap 4 placed in a key lock condition can be prevented from being extracted from the fuel tank 2. Accordingly, an inexpensive fuel tank is obtained, and also a degree of freedom in shape designing or the like of this fuel tank can be increased. |
