<p>PURPOSE:To completely desorb and regenerate an adsorbent in a gas concentrating device by PSA method using vacuum desorption regeneration. CONSTITUTION:During vacuum desorption and regeneration, when the pressure in adsorption cylinders 24, 26 reaches a desired point in a range from 50 to 100% of the max. vacuum degree in the desorption process, a desired amt. of purging gas in the volume range from 0.5 to 2.5 times as the volume of cylinders is made to flow as a countercurrent from the buffer tank 28 where the produced gas is reserved to the absorption cylinders. By this method, deterioration of the adsorbent is very small compared to a method in which only vacuum desorption and regeneration is performed without adding purging gas.</p> |
