PURPOSE:To prevent the emission defficiency caused by the drying of ink by completing restoration operation upon the reception of a stop signal during restoration operation to cap the emitting orifice surface of a recording head to set the recording head to a standby state. CONSTITUTION:A blade slider 105 has a through-hole 105c so as to be movable along the slide shaft 106 parallel to the emitting orifice surface of a recording head. Since the blade slider 105 reciprocally moves along the slide shaft 106, the pentration quantity of a blade 104 to the emitting orifice surface of the recording head is always constant at any position of the emitting orifice surface and the blade 104 wipes the emitting orifice surface uniformly. The reciprocating motion of the blade slider 105 is performed by a blade link 107 and the projection 107a of the blade link 107 pushes the wall 105d of the blade slider 105 to reciprocally move the blade slider 105. The blade link 107 is controlled in its movement by the wiping operation cam provided to a control gear 102. |
