A method for transmitting data from a pressure sensor connected to a reactor for performing a reaction, particularly a chemical reaction causing pressure changes that need to be monitored, and in particular to a rotary unit immersed in a thermostatically controlled bath and used to determine the oxidation resistance of an oil such as a lubricating oil. The method comprises converting the pressure sensor output, particularly an electromagnetic signal, into an optical radiation signal transmitted to a transmitter module in communication with a transmit/receive receiver linked to an external optical transceiver which in turn transmits the received signal via a suitable connecting module to a printer and/or computer. |
