<p>PURPOSE:To hardly generate deformation and permanent set in fatigue during handling by adding specific ratios of one kind or >=2 kind among Ti, Zr, Hf and rare earth elements to Au. CONSTITUTION:This blank consists of 0.01 to 1wt.% in total of one or >=2 kinds among the Ti, Zr, Hf and rare earth elements and the balance the Au. The rare earth elements are more preferably Y, Sm, Eu and Er. Of course others, such as Sc, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Tm, Yb and Lu are equally satisfactory. The reason for confining the amt. of these elements to 0.01 to 1wt.% in total is to improve hardness while maintaining the high grade of the Au and to make the blank hardly softenable by brazing or heat treatment at the time of working. Such effect is not expected if the content is below 0.01wt.%. The grade of the Au falls to (99wt.% and degrades if the content exceeds 1wt.%.</p> |
