The plastic conduit is fabricated as two semicircular channels (2,3) joined by a flat strip (4) at their adjacent edges. The strip forms a hinge to allow the two channels to close together to form a circular conduit. The conduit is initially folded opened to allow insertion of the cables. When the cables are inserted the conduit is closed and tongues (6) on the outer edge of one channel engage loops (7) on the outer edge of the other channel. The ends of the tongues are used to fix the conduit to mountings on the vehicle. The length of the conduit is predominantly of a rigid material, but at regular intervals there are flexible zones (10,13) to allow bending of the conduit.
