Mitten for handling contaminated objects

The mitten (1) has a separate thumb (1,1), which is made from a sheet of waterproof plastics. This is cut out to form two parts of the glove which are joined by a tongue which forms a loop (2) inside the glove when they are assembled. The glove is turned inside out, after use, by hooking a finger into the loop. It then forms a sachet to hold the contaminated object and this is closed by pulling a cord (3) which is threaded through a hem (1,3) round the base of the glove.
