<p>PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal panel inspection device and inspection method capable of accurately detecting the voltage holding characteristics of pixels in a display area and constituting the device at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:A probe 50 which makes electrostatic capacity coupling to a pixel electrode 16 to be inspected is positioned without contact on the pixel electrode 16 to be inspected and after the pixel electrode 16 to be inspected is subjected to first time of writing operation, the pixel is held in a holding state. The pixel electrode 16 to be inspected is thereafter subjected to second time of writing under the same drain voltage as the drain voltage at the time of the first writing. The waveform of the pixel electrode voltage at the time of the second writing is detected by using the contactless probe 50 and the voltage holding characteristic of the pixel is detected from the detected waveform.</p> |
