PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for the insertion of a terminal at the time of inserting wire-attached terminal into a terminal housing chamber of a connector housing. CONSTITUTION:A pair of terminal holding claws 9 and a wire cramp plate 10, which are respectively provided in an inserting unit freely to be elevated and opened/closed, are lowered to hold a first wire-attached terminal 8 (81) locked with a chip 6 of a wire cramp rod 5, and the pair of terminal holding claws 9 and the wire cramp plate 10 are raised to separate the terminal 8 (81) from the clip 6, and thereafter, the inserting unit is moved toward a housing 4. After inserting the terminal 81 into a corresponding terminal housing chamber 3, the inserting unit is moved backward for reset, and the wire-attached terminals are inserted in order. After separating the terminal 81 from the chip 6, during the time till the inserting unit is moved backward for reset, the wire cramp rod 5 is moved in parallel with the housing 4, and a second wire-attached terminal 82 (or a clip) is previously positioned facing to the next terminal housing chamber 3. |
