PURPOSE: To provide an application method and device for a liquid sample of a patient to an inspection element in which a small quantity of the liquid sample of the patient is applied to the inspection element while restricting problems such as dilution of a reagent to the minimum. CONSTITUTION: A liquid application device which is effective for an analyzer to inspect analyzed matter of liquid comprises a main body 2, a carrier element 10, that is the carrier element 10 having a liquid holding surface 7 to hold liquid in almost equal area to an area of an inspection surface of an inspection element, and supported on the main body 2 to be engaged with the inspection element, and a means disposed on an outer edge part 16 of a contact element to absorb excessive liquid from the liquid holding surface 7 before application of the liquid. |
