<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for trouble of revising a time of a timer of each repeater every time the system configuration differs from each other by informing timer information of each repeater stored in a host device to each repeater at the start of communication or the like. CONSTITUTION:A host device 1 stores timer information of each repeater 2 in a ROM 1a-3 of a control section 1a and a CPU 1a-1 reads timer information at the communication start or system rising and adds the information to a control signal and the resulting information is sent to each repeater 2. Upon the receipt of the control signal including the timer information, each repeater 2 identifies a device code and stores the timer information corresponding to the concerned repeater to a RAM 2a-4 of a control section 2a and sends the control signal to a subordinate repeater. After the repeater 2 sends the control signal to a line 4, the timer information is read from the RAM 2a-4 and sets a corresponding value to a timer reply signal monitor time and starts a timer 2a-2 and monitors the arrival of a reply signal from a subordinate device.</p> |
