Mat for installation of slabs made of stone, marble or granite

The mat (1) is made of a slightly flexible material such as rubber 3-5 mm thick and has raised ridges 10-15 mm high which are arranged in a grid. The mat may have perforations (4) in its base to improve its flexibility. The ridges may be straight sided, or be trapezoid. They may also be slightly raised above the height of the or be coloured or have a decorative seal. The slabs are inserted between the raised ridges. The mat does not have ridges on two sides to enable mats to be placed side by side.
