PURPOSE:To form a reflection-proofing film on an inner surface of a panel part without giving bad effects on quality of light absorbing matrix or a phosphor layer, and facilitate regeneration of a panel by forming an ultra-fine particle layer of hydrophilic silicon oxide on the inner surface of the panel part. CONSTITUTION:Alcohol to which ultra-fine particles of silicon oxide is added is applied on an inner surface of a panel part 1 of a cathode-ray tube, it is dried to form an ultra-fine particle layer 41 of hydrophilic silicon oxide, and light absorbing matrix 42, a phosphor layer 43, and a metal back 44 are formed on the layer 41 to form a screen 4. Because the layer 41 is a smooth hydrophilic layer, the matrix 42, the layer 43, etc., can be formed uniformly, so a reflection- proofing film can be formed without giving bad effects on quality of the light absorbing matrix or phosphor layer. Since the ultra-fine particle layer 41 is hydrophilic, this can be eliminated easily and securely, thereby panel regeneration work is facilitated. |
