摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To highly reliably measure the torque of a rotating body to be measured with a simple constitution by providing a powder clutch between a rotating shaft which is rotated by the rotation of the rotating body to be measured and outer ring shaft which independently rotates while the rotating shaft is passed through it. CONSTITUTION:A powder clutch 3 performs clutching operations in accordance with the density variation of powder and is constituted of a rotating shaft 3a at the centermost position, outer ring shaft 3a through which the shaft 3a is passed at a fixed interval, and coupling 3c which houses the shaft 3b. The shaft 3b can rotate independently from the shaft 3a. When an electric current is supplied to a coil 3e, the powder in a powder chamber 3b1 is magnetized and coupled together and a frictional force is generated between the suppression cup 3a1 of the shaft 3a and the powder 3d. A similar frictional force is also generated between the powder 3d and shaft 3b. The rotation of the shaft 3b is braked when the elastic force of a spring which pulls a wire wound around a pulley is balanced with the frictional force generated by the powder and pulses which are generated in accordance with the rotational amount of the shaft 3b are detected.</p>
