PURPOSE: To provide a binary code optically readable by a machine, capable of dynamically encoding a large amount of information in an optional physical size. CONSTITUTION: A matrix area 10 where a plurality of coded data elements 19 are arranged and a surrounding part 11 for surrounding the matrix area 10 are provided, coded information is formed from a dark area 16 and a bright area 18, the surrounding part 11 is provided with first and second side parts 12 formed by solid lines provided with a first length and a second length crossed at the first corner part of the surrounding part, the first and second side parts 12 are capable at respectively dynamically fluctuating and this binary code is readable.
