PURPOSE:To easily edit 'KARAOKE' (recorded accompaniment) software. CONSTITUTION:'KARAOKE' software is stored in a floppy disk 1 employing the standard MIDI specification. The MIDI data which are read are serially outputted by an MIDI sequencer 2 and supplied to a sound source device 3 and a lyrics display device 8. Lyrics data are stored in a memory through an MIDI interface and a CPU. The CPU reads lyrics data equivalent to one character from the memory among the following real time musical data whenever timing data are read and transfers the data to a screen control device. The screen control device generates video signals corresponding to the lyrics data from a character generator. Moreover, the output of the character generator is synthesized with BGV video signals from a BGV video output device 9 in the screen control device and supplied to a monitor 10. Thus, the lyrics are displayed at a prescribed position on the screen. |
