PURPOSE:To provide a positive electrode plate for a lead-acid battery not reducing the active material strength when the utilization factor of a positive electrode active material is improved by applying a paste of lead powder to a lead lattice as an active material raw material, and specifying the size of an active material coagulant and its ratio in the whole. CONSTITUTION:Lead powder as an active material raw material is kneaded with water and dilute sulfuric acid into a paste, and this paste is applied to a lead or lead alloy lattice to form a positive electrode plate for a lead battery. The size of an active material coagulant is set to the range of 10-30mum, and its ratio in the whole is set to the range of 10-30%. When the size of the active material coagulant in the positive electrode plate for the lead battery is set to the range of 10-30mum and its ratio in the whole is set to 10-30%, the active material coagulant is small, the reaction area with an electrolyte is increased, the reaction between the active material and the electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid) is promoted, and the utilization factor of the active material is improved. Even when charges and discharges are repeated, the active material coagulant serves as the skeleton, and the active material strength is maintained. |
