PURPOSE:To prevent the direct suction of a sample liquid into a suction nozzle when the nozzle is actuated while a nozzle tip is not mounted on the nozzle and, at the same time, to suck the sample liquid on the bottom of a sample container at the time of sucking the sample liquid contained in the sample container with the nozzle tip. CONSTITUTION:A sampling device is provided with a sample container 6 containing a sample liquid S, suction nozzle 1 having a suction port 1a at its bottom, nozzle tip 2 which is mounted on the nozzle 1 in a removable state, lifting/lowering means 3 which lifts or lowers the nozzle 1, and lowering position control means 4 which controls the lower limit position of the nozzle 1 when the nozzle 1 is moved by the means 3. The device is also provided with a liquid quantity detecting means 8 which detects whether or not the quantity of the liquid S contained in the container 6 exceeds a prescribed value and switching means 9 which switches the lower limit controlling position of the control means 4 upon receiving a signal from the detecting means 8. |
