The invention relates to a method for establishing the parameters of a pulsating system, in particular of the circulation system of the body of a living being, and the arrangement for implementing the method. According to the invention, the arrangement is characterised in that it comprises a cuff (1) provided with means for determinable and controllable variation of its cross-section and communicating with a bag (3) containing an incompressible liquid constituting an inflation fluid, and in that the means for controlling the inflation of the cuff is a means (4) for varying the volume of the bag (3).
