PURPOSE:To provide a compact pickup mechanism for transferring a piece between metal molds in which the cycle time of transferring operation can be shortened effectively. CONSTITUTION:The pickup mechanism for a lead finishing machine being disposed between metal molds 40, 42 set for the finishing machine in order to transfer a piece, obtained by separating the product part from a lead frame 100 at a prestage metal mold 40, to a poststage metal mold 42 comprises pickup sections 196a, 196b for picking up the piece carried out from the prestage metal mold 40, and mechanisms 190, 192 for transferring the piece held at the pickup sections 196a, 196b while orienting in the direction at which the piece is set when it is machined by means of the poststage metal mold 42. |
