PURPOSE:To provide a desk luminaire with simple structure and economical property and with which information can be visible even if the surrounding is dark and which can illuminate effectively only the spot on this side on a desk required to be illuminated without disturbing neighbors and interfering with slide projection. CONSTITUTION:A display plate 1 to which a name plate is attached and a holding means to hold the display plate 1 are installed on the front side of a desk luminaire. Besides them, the desk luminaire is provided with a box frame 2 which has open parts 2c for illumination of the spot on this side on the rear side, thereof, an electric bulb 5 installed in the inside of the box frame 2, and a light shutting screen 7 in which a large number of mutually parallel louver-like projected parts 7b are formed by making prescribed louver angle 6 in relation to the surface of a transparent plate 7a and which shuts the open part 2c for illumination of the spot on this side so that the louver angle theta may be set downward. |
