摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a composite material electrode capable of preventing lead wires from being peeled off without locally heating the electrode made of palladium or the like for fitting the lead wires. CONSTITUTION:A metal material or a ceramic material having a portion with the thickness of at least 100mum or above, e.g. an Ag plate 1, is bonded to a palladium or palladium alloy electrode, e.g. a Pd plate 2. Diffusion bonding, sintering, half-fusion bonding, explosive jointing, welding, and brazing can be applied for the bonding, for example. Hydrogen or its isotope can be efficiently stored in palladium or its alloy, the deformation of the palladium electrode can be prevented when hydrogen is continuously stored, and the electrode temperature can be measured while no adverse effect is given by the storage of hydrogen into the palladium electrode.
