PURPOSE:To prevent wrong data from being generated at an optical receiver by attenuating the reflected light of an optical burst transmitted signal reflected by a photocoupler by inserting an optical attenuator between the photocoupler and the optical receiver. CONSTITUTION:When an electric burst signal is inputted from a transmission side terminal, an optical transmitter OS 1 performs electric/optic conversion to an optical burst transmitted signal and outputs it through a coupler 2 to an optical transmission line 6. At such a time, the optical burst transmitted signal is reflected at the output terminal of the photocoupler 2. On the other hand, the electric burst signal is inputted to a control circuit CONT 4 as well. The CONT 4 decides a burst transmission term and operates an optical attenuator ATT 3 just for the burst transmission term. Thus, the optical burst transmitted signal reflected by the output terminal of the photocoupler 2 is attenuated. |
