Metal hinge case (10), designed as a mortise bowl, of a furniture hinge for fastening in a recess (18) of a door wing (16) formed from thin-walled sheet metal, with a bowl part (12), from the upper edge of which projects a fastening flange (22) which, in the position mounted on the door wing, covers a lining plate (14) arranged on the inside of the door wing and made of plastic. The lining plate (14) has, at at least two points offset relative to one another in the circumferential direction of the recess (18), radial projections which pass through the limitation of the recess (18) and which are engaged on the outside, facing away from the body, of the wall (16a) of the door wing (16) surrounding the recess (18). At a distance below the fastening flange (22), a number of locking projections corresponding to the number and arrangement of the projections of the lining plate (14) project radially, which can be inserted through the recess in the door wing and the lining plate in a position rotated relative to the intended mounting position of the bowl part (12) in the door wing and, by being rotated into the intended mounting position, can be brought into catching engagement under the radial projections of the lining plate (14).
