A bearing arrangement for a switch shaft (1) of a multi-pole electric switching device with a chassis consisting of parallel walls (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) has shaft bearings with half-shells (7). The walls (2, 3) designed to take the shaft bearing have side apertures (11) having a limiting edge (12) with the radius and width of a groove (10) on the outer periphery of the half-shells (7) and another limiting edge (13) with the outside diameter of the half-shells (7). A locking member (14) to be secured to the appropriate wall (2, 3) secures the half-shells (7) on the switch shaft (1) after they have been fitted.
