In a ball bearing for use in a turbocharger comprising a housing and a rotating shaft for connecting an impeller to a turbine, the outer ring 6 is supported by the housing and the inner ring 8 is fitted onto the rotating shaft in an axially mid portion thereof. The retainer 10 is made of a heat resistant synthetic resin, and is guided by the outer ring. The bearing comprises a gap 14 for lubricant communication formed between the outer peripheral surface of the retainer and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring and the gap dimension t14 measures from 1.0% to 3.5% of the outer diametric dimension the retainer at room temperature. <IMAGE> |
