A carrier for non-returnable plastic bottles has mounts (4) in the base for a lower set (5) of bottles which also support the upper set (2). On the contact surface between each mount and lower bottle there is a sealing ring (6) of softer material than that of the carrier. The contact surfaces are between the mount and the bottle cap, the bottle neck or the bottle shoulder. The rings are coated with an elastic material, pref. wear-resistant plastics, such as ethylene acetate. The rings are glued to the mounts, or clipped in and for shoulder contact, there may be two concentric ones.
