Current transformer with moulded resin insulation

The transformer includes cast resin insulation and a contact protected against voltage-surge by a voltage surge conduction element (25), esp. a capacitive voltage tap. The voltage surge conduction element is cast into the cast resin (2). The contact (26) of the voltage-surge conduction element which is not earthed and the contact of the current transformer which is protected against voltage surge are connected by contact elements. The contact elements are cast into the cast resin, are insulated from each other, are externally accessible and can be short-circuited by a further, external contact element.
