Flexible protection cuff for electrical appliance lead cable

The protection cuff has a tubular part (10) fitting around the outside of the lead cable, provided with a series of slits (13, 14), for increasing its flexibility. The slits are curved in 2 different planes, each extending over an angle of between 70 and 80 degrees around the outside of the tubular part. Pref. the tubular part is provided by a cylinder having pairs of slits, with ribs (16) along the centre lines between their ends, the ribs of each pair offset from one another by 90 degrees around the outside of the cylinder.
