The driving system for standby lift stokes reduces loading and unloading time of work piece and maximize the operating rate of welding robots by operating the driving system coupled with automatic jig of welding robots. The driving system comprises; (A) solenoid valves (39,39A) to tune the lifting speed of head and tail lift stoke (17a,17b) on the path of oil pumps (48,49); (B) check valves (57,57A) and flow control valves (58,58A) between a solenoid valve and oil pressure cylinders (60,60A); (C) pilot check valves (61,61A) positioned at the return path of lifting cylinders.
