A connecting element for corrugated pipes is provided with at least two connecting ends, of which at least one connecting end is formed by a hollow-cylindrical connecting nozzle. The connecting element consists of two half shells which are split in the plane containing the axes of the connecting ends and have nozzle half shells (2a,2b,2c), and the latter can be connected to one another in that position in which they are placed one on top of the other and in which their shell wall edges (11a,11b,11c) rest on one another. In order to improve the sealing, a sealing half ring (18a,21) is arranged in each nozzle half shell, and a sealing profile (22b), which extends in the longitudinal direction of the associated shell wall edges, is arranged in each case in the region of the shell wall edges between the dividing surfaces of the half shells.
