Image toning of black-and-white images formed utilizing color dye forming couplers.

A toned neutral black-and-white image is prepd. using a photographic material having at least one layer contg. a single sensitised Ag halide emulsion combined with cyan, magenta and yellow dye forming couplers. The developed image, which is formed from all the dyes, is treated with a compsn. contg. H2SO4. This alters the hue of at least one of the dyes and changes the image from a neutral black-and-white to a sepia tone or to a bluish hue.
