Folding door locking device

The locking device uses an electrically-operated sliding locking bolt (20) extending horizontally,parallel to the top edges of the hinged sections(1a,1b;2a,2b) of each of the counter-running door panels(1,2). The locking bolt cooperates with counter-elements (21,22) at the top edge of each door panel. Pref.the counter elements are associated with the hinge pins (1c,2c) between the adjacent sections of each door panel, each locating in a respective recess in the locking bolt, which is pref. provided by an elongate flat rod.
