PURPOSE: To incorporate a sheath for sealing a medical needle after use in a needle by projecting the pointed end from an outer tube when the needle is used to hold an inner needle in a fixed position by a latch member, and pulling out the inner pipe into the outer pipe to be locked in the sealed position when the needle was used. CONSTITUTION: A lumen 30 of a catheter 24 for surrounding a tube 12 and a tube 14 stores the tube 12 at the forward end part 26 and stores the tube 14 in the main body 28. A latch member 34 is fitted to the base end 32 of the tube 12, and a guide 38 and a cutting for forming a projecting part 40 are provided on a housing 36. A web 48 is fixed to a raised part 49 of such a size as to be fitted to the projecting part 40 and blocking the same. When the latch member 34 is placed in the projecting part 40, a plate spring 44 energizes the latch member 34 to be held in the projecting part 40. When a thumb plate 46 provided on the latch member 34 is pressed, the latch member 34 is detached from the projecting part 40, and the tube 12 is located in such a manner that the pointed end 18 is sealed by the tube 14. |
