METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING HARMFUL GAS HARMLESS

PURPOSE:To make harmful gas harmless efficiently in a wet process by reacting the gas with a bubbling chemical solution into which it is introduced continuously by negative pressure at the back of a rotating impeller. CONSTITUTION:When the rotary shaft 22 of a gas-liquid mixer 20 is rotated by the actuation of the driving motor 26, a vortex is generated by the rotation of an impeller 21 in a chemical solution 15 to generate negative pressure at the back of the impeller. Harmful gas collected by a collector, after passing through an introduction pipe 28, is sucked automatically to the lower part of a cylinder 25 to be mixed into the vortex. A lot of fine bubbles of the harmful gas are generated by the action of the vortex and the shear force of the impeller to increase the contact area between the harmful gas and the chemical solution so that the harmful components are efficiently neutralized or absorbed by the chemical solution, making the gas harmless.
