CONSTITUTION: A prodrug is provided that is activated by an enzyme having a structure of the formula: S-Z-W (W is a pharmacologically active substance, Z shows a self-decomposable spacer or a bond, and S is a residue that is enzymatically Z-S linkage-cleavable with a double or more reduced Michaelis- Menten constant (Km).
