PURPOSE: To provide an applicator with which a tape can be stuck directly to a box or a carton manually and which is easy to use and handle. CONSTITUTION: This handy-type tape applicator comprises a frame 16 including a tape support portion 20 and a nose portion 18, a tape roll support means 22 provided on the tape support portion 20, a sticking means 34 rotatably supported on the nose portion 18 and a cutting means for cutting the tape into a predetermined length. When a tape roll is mounted on the tape roll support means 22, a space is formed between the sticking means 34 and the tape roll. When the tape roll is positioned above the surface of an object while being mounted on the tape roll support means 22, the sticking means 34 comes into contact with another surface of the object, which is orthogonal to the former surface, wherein the corner of the object constituting the two surfaces is positioned in the space. |
