The system includes a glass tube (2), a Re filament (6) for emitting electrons in the glass tube (2), a grid (8) mounted at the inner side of filament (6) to accelarate the electrons emitted from the filament (6), and an ion collector (10) for collecting the ionized gaseous ions to generate currents corresponding to the gas pressure in the glass tube (2), thereby using a Re filament wated as a Th film to prevent the oxidation of filament and to promote the generation of electrons.
