In a method of forming a handled bag, the bag is passed between rollers which cut away the top side-corners at 30 to form mouth edge tabs 28, form tab fold lines 23 and fold-line slits 24. The tab is folded inwards or outwards and a looped handle 25 attached to a strip 26 glued on both faces is passed through the slit between the tab and the bag wall. With a gussetted bag, the portions of gusset at the cut corners are folded inwardly. |
