In a device for longitudinally working solid timber workpieces (5), the number of workpieces to be worked can be increased without singling difficulties and without unacceptably increasing the space requirements of the entire installation by conveying the solid timber workpieces across their length in a continuous workpiece conveying channel to, through and out of a processing station (15, 34), whereby there is a holding and clamping device (16, 18) in the region of the processing station which clamps the individual solid timber workpieces over their entire length and the processing station contains at least one processing tool arrangement designed for the stepped processing of the solid timber workpieces in such a way that it essentially performs the process simultaneously on all the longitudinal sections of a solid timber workpiece. |
