<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a water-based ink composition for a ball point pen composed of a coloring material, water and a specific compound, effective for minimizing the abrasion of a ball seat caused by the rotation of a ball to ensure the smooth discharge of the ink and enabling the writing of a long line. CONSTITUTION:This ink composition is at least composed of (A) a coloring material, (B) water and (C) a compound of formula I (R1 is an alkyl) and/or formula II (R2 is an alkyl). The amounts of the component A, the component B and the component C are preferably 0.1-20wt.%, 2-40wt.% and 0.05-8.0wt.% based on the total composition, respectively.</p> |
